Learn more about marine insurance

Norwegian Hull Club invites you to a two-day marine insurance workshop in Bergen.

The workshop which takes place 1-2 November, is for all clients who want to know more about marine insurance. Superintendents, operations, chartering or others who may be involved in the underwriting or claims process could attend our workshop.

"The intention is to build a basic platform of competence about marine insurance for those attending. We want to give them a better understanding of the whole insurance process; from signing the policy, through handling claims such as particular average, salvage, collisions, loss of hire and General Average ultimately ending with a final adjustment of the claim under your policy. We believe that this will give the participants a larger understanding of both our products and their role as superintendents, " says Director Claims Handling Åge Solberg, who is responsible for the Marine Insurance Workshop .

"Our members and clients will always benefit from the experience we obtain through handling some 1400 claims every year. Sharing of knowledge and experience through a workshop will hopefully lead to an increased understanding and maybe consequently to a reduction in the number of claims", says Claims Director Jostein Egeland.

Last year, 66 persons participated, a number which indicates that this has become very popular among our clients. We encourage you to express your interest as soon as possible - first come, first served. An invitation will be sent out to your company early fall.
