ISM Media exercise

How should your company deal with the media in an emergency situation? How can you be prepared enough to be able to make the journalists your friends instead of your enemies?
Norwegian Hull Club offers media training and media seminars of various duration and levels of participation from the delegates. Common for all whether it is collision, grounding , fire or piracy - the delegates will get an introduction to, and some light training in how the media thinks and acts in case of an accident; what the Company should have thought over in that regard and how a not thoroughly thought through statement in the media can affect the Company's reputation.

Our exercises are a combination of role plays, practical training in front of the camera and lectures and a typical agenda will touch upon the following:
 What is media?
 How does the media work?
 Your web page
 The power of the social media
 Reputation
 Presentation of a scenario
 Role play
 Media handling by phone
 Media handling in front of camera
 Press briefing
 Debriefing / lessons learned
