Professor Stein Ove Erikstad, at Department of Marine Technology in Trondheim gives us some of the key drivers and corresponding effect for seaborne transport in the coming years. He believes an increasing focus on emission reducton, and safety as a key cost factor, this in a time when the risk picture becomes more complex.
