"In situations where we are unable to be physically present with our customers, we can still be there via software," says Director of Client Services at Norwegian Hull Club, Geir Skoglund.

In basic terms, this is all about participating in meetings via PC monitor and speakers. This is not new technology, but the way Norwegian Hull Club is putting it to use is new and innovative. Our Client Services division has been operating in this manner for a long while now. This has been particularly useful in connection with the division's conferences and events abroad, but the concept is now being widely implemented throughout the organization.

Norwegian Hull Club studio 

Whenever our insurance agents or other relevant persons travel to various world destinations to meet with our customers, they will now be equipped with "tools" in their briefcases which are required to get connected to our proprietary Norwegian Hull Club studio. Here they will be able to confer with pre-designated personnel who are at the ready and can respond to questions from customers or perhaps conduct a supplemental presentation based on specific requests as determined during the meeting.

Specific issues can also be discussed and pertinent problems can be clarified. This concept and related equipment will of course also be used in actual crisis situations in order to achieve optimal channels of communication between us and the ship owners.
